If you are like me and love being near water and doing long walks along the beach then i recommend Marfells Beach.
Marfells Beach is a 40 minute drive from downtown Blenheim with stunning views of the vineyards , on the way there are fields of sheep. It is the perfect spot for a day trip in Marlborough or if you are road tripping around South Island , then you should make the time to stop off.
You can even camp here at Marfells Beach if you want to wake up in the morning to the beautiful sound of the waves and the beach on your doorstep for your touch of paradise.
I recommend walking to the Cape Campbell lighthouse which is an easy walk about 3 hours return or way longer if you want to chill out and take in the view without rushing.
New Zealand beaches are often quiet and this one is no exception. It is one of my favourite places for alone time and listing to the gentle waves doing meditation.
It is well worth climbing the stairs to the top of the lighthouse for breath takings views of both sides of the coast line.
If walking is not your thing then you can hire a quad bike and go riding on the sand! This seemed a popular option and looked like good fun.
